Linux Prelink Error

When installing some firmware updates for a server I ran across this prelink error:

“…at least one of the file’s dependencies has changed since prelinking
An Update Package is already running.
Wait until it is complete before proceeding with another update.”

The first thing I tried was rebooting the server. However, this did not fix the issue. The Prelink error continued to show up.

After doing some research I found this site: https://stelfox.net/blog/2014/08/dependency-prelink-issues/

The suggested fix is running the command:
/usr/sbin/prelink -av -mR

This command will manually force the the prelink cache to update.

After running the command to update the prelink information, I re-ran the BIOS update with no errors.
